Giving Back with Local Laundry: How our Blanket Donation Made a Difference
At Local Laundry, giving back to our communities is at the core of everything we do. Our Giving Garments™ program has been designed to help make a positive impact on the lives of those in need, by donating a toque, blanket or pair of socks to a shelter in Canada for every item purchased.
Recently, we were privileged to be able to donate 100 blankets to the Salvation Army, right around the time they were running out of supplies. The Salvation Army is a well-known charity that provides a range of services to people in need across Canada, including food assistance, housing, and support for vulnerable populations. This is just one example of how our program is able to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Our program is designed to provide warmth and comfort to those who need it most. By donating these blankets to the Salvation Army, we were able to ensure that people who were facing cold nights and discomfort had access to essential items that could help keep them safe and warm.
Through our Giving Garments™ program, we have been able to donate over 10,000 essential items to shelters across Canada. This includes toques, blankets, and socks, all of which are vital items that can help make a big difference in the lives of those who need it most.
